Our History
Our company was founded in 1928 when Hedley Brook, after being laid off during a strike at the Pennsylvania Railroad Machine Shop, started his insurance career in the accident and health insurance field.
Our first office was located on West State Street, seven blocks from our present site. After several moves we are now at 818 W. State Street, Olean, NY in a building large enough for expansion as we move into the future.
We represent only insurance companies that are highly rated by the insurance rating company, A.M. Best, wihich is the leading independent source of insurance company financial strength since 1899.
Our Mission
At Hedley Brook Agency, the customer comes first, whether purchasing insurance protection or making a claim. It is our practice to follow up on each claim to be certain that it is being handled in a proper and timely manner.
